My family comes from North and East Texas, and I really wanted to add in elements that define who we are.

The Diamond K that makes up the shield is a shout-out to my dad's fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi. It's played a major part in who he is, and how that's shaped my family.

The Water tower, at the bottom, symbolizes the town where my parents met, Commerce, Texas. It's a really small "college" town, and that water tower is the main thing that's always stuck out when I would visit there as a kid.

The Hammer symbolizes the work ethic that my parents drilled into my sister and I, and the apple symbolizes Intelligence.

For the bottom quote, my family are very stubborn and hard headed people. So I translated the phrase "Can't Tell Me Nothing" from Latin. Lastly, the Bear and the Lion represent both of my grandmothers, and how they've played a role in our lives.
This color scheme was influenced by the Dallas Cowboys, while they're not my team, the rest of my family roots for them religiously.
This color scheme was more of a shout-out to my dad's fraternity
I wanted to test this logo out on items that could be at a family reunion, namely mugs and T-shirts.
